If you listen to "Opening" by Philip Glass closely, you'll find that there are so many piano keys going at once that your ears fairly burst with the layers of galloping sound flooding in. It makes me want to cry or throw up, the things a mind is capable of creating. I want to write a novel that reads like so many layers rushing into form and crashing together harmoniously.
