The ridiculous okcupid.com has been a recent guilty pleasure of mine. Please, get it away. For the first time since I joined on Friday, I found someone who made me want to message them in excitement. Having to leave for errands and wanting to put time into the message I threw them, I figured I'd wait until I got back. I did, and lo and behold, the site said they didn't exist. They deleted their account in the two hours I was gone on errands. I'm really enjoying this joke, though I feel pathetic for thinking about it so much.
In less pathetic news, I wrote a poem today for the first time in many months. I also deleted my Facebook for the 37th time. Frequenting these stupid social networking sites so often makes me feel like my body lives in a small room without windows, and it's chewing the same piece of gum for days. I'm considering shutting down my computer, burying it in my closet, and replacing it with a typewriter permanently.
I've been thinking of origins lately. If I had a collection of anything, it would be those; there are so many I don't remember. It's like I've been living my life half-asleep.
